He was born to Joseph G. and Elizabeth Kealey Bartovic.
Bartovic was a truck driver for the past 10 years for Town Fair Tire.
He was a transmission mechanic for many years at Meriden Transmission Service, and a longtime member of Stardust Kustoms.
He is survived by his father; his wife, Bethanne Burke Bartovic; one son, Joseph G. Bartovic III of Stamford; one brother, Gregory (Martha) Bartovic of West Haven; and one sister, Jane (Michael) Daniels of Shelton.
One brother, Lawrence, preceded him in death.
Calling hours will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road, Fairfield.
A Mass of Christian of Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratford Road, Fairfield.
Interment will follow in the Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
