FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Joseph M. Adamczyk died surrounded by his family Tuesday, July 28, 2015.
He was born in Plains, Pa, where he met and married Hedy, to whom he remains devoted "Till the End of Time."
He lived most of his life in Fairfield before moving to Trumbull.
During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a helicopter inspector at Sikorsky Aircraft, where he worked for 38 years.
In addition to his wife Hedy (Korzeniewski), he is survived by his daughter Mary Nichols and her husband Jeffrey, son Anthony and his wife Paula, and son Andrew and his wife Cathy; grandchildren Christopher and Matthew Punty; and Lisa, Karen, Michael, Chrissy, Linda, and Elizabeth Adamczyk; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Anthony Catholic Church, 149 S. Pine Creek Road, Fairfield. Burial with military honors will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 1530 Bronson Road, Fairfield.
