FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Lewis Edward Wier, of Fairfield, formerly of Bronxville, N.Y., died Friday, Nov. 28. He was 85.
Wier was born in 1929, to Harry and Helen Wier. He was a business executive working at Procter and Gamble, Playtex, RJ Reynolds and Glendinning Associates.
Wier is survived by his children, Sherrie Wier Howey of Scarsdale, N.Y., and Greg Wier of Mason, Ohio; four grandchildren; son-in-law, Bud Howey; and daughter-in-law, Sandra Wier. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Phyllis Wier; and brother, Mel Wier.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 at Greenfield Hill Congregational Church, 1045 Old Academy Road in Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Wier to The Center for Family Support, 333 Seventh Ave., 9th floor, New York.
