Louis Torma, 100, Longtime Resident Of Fairfield

TRUMBULL, Conn. - Louis Torma, formerly of Fairfield, died Saturday, Nov. 29. He was 100.

Torma was born in Hungary, he came to the United States in 1958 to Bridgeport and had been a Fairfield town resident for most of his life before moving to Trumbull 12 years ago. He had worked for the Moore Special Tool Co. of Bridgeport for many years until his retirement. He was a longtime parishIoner of St. Emery's Church of Fairfield and belonged to the St. Emery's Holy Name Society and the St. Emery's Seniors group.

Torma is survived by his daughter, Mary Szedlmayer (Alex) of Trumbull; two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Bot Torma.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Dec. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center.  Funeral services will be held at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 in the funeral home, and at 11 a.m. in St. Emery's Church, 838 Kings Hwy, Fairfield with burial to follow in Lawncroft Cemetery.
