FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Louis Zadrovitz, of Fairfield, died March 10. He was 88.

Zadrovitz was a WWII Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 143.

Zadrovitz is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Mary Cummings of Florida, Joanne Zumstag (George) of Conn.; son Gary Gabriel (Andrea) of Vt.; brothers, John and James; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 14, in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 S Benson Rd., Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 15, at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road., Fairfield, with internment to follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Helen Varaljay of Fairfield died Sunday, June 16. She was 98.

Varaljay was born Aug. 10, 1914, in Manhattan, daughter of Helen and Joseph Eros. She graduated from Julia Richman High School. After she married in 1939, she moved to Connecticut, first to Black Rock, then Westport, before settling in Fairfield in 1955.
