Margaret Adams, 81, Of Southport

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Margaret M. Adams of Southport died Oct. 17 at home after a battle with cancer. She was 81. 

Born Jan. 1, 1931, in Cork City, Ireland, she was the daughter of Michael and Josephine Logan. She married Patrick J. Adams Sr. on Aug. 19, 1953, and had been a a Southport resident since 1965.  

Adams is survived by four children, Josephine Adams-Cook, of Fairfield, Mary (Javier) Arroyo, of Stratford, Patrick J. (Sue) Adams, of Trumbull, and John (Brenda) Adams, of Stratford; six sisters, Rita (George) Ryan, of Rahway, N.J., Bridget (Joseph) Murtha, of Fairfield, Anne (Vincent) Bogan, of Piscataway, N.J., Geraldine Keane, of Limerick City, Ireland, Myra (James) Barron, of Woodbridge, Va., and Kathleen Logan, of Shannon, Ireland; eight grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick; and a brother, Michael J. Logan Jr. 

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at St. Thomas Church in Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
