FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Fairfield resident Margaret F. Rung died Thursday, May 12. She was 102.
A Bridgeport native, Rung was an avid gardener and knitted countless sweaters and scarves for friends and family members.
She also had a talent of creating dried floral arrangements and worked for the Garden Exchange in Trumbull.
Rung was a longtime member of the Greenfield Hill Garden Club and had served as president.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Rung Sr.; her parents, John and Rose Foito; her daughter, Marjorie Beth Rung; her son, Raymond Rung Jr.; and brothers Albert Foito, Ernie Foito, Frederick Foito, and Julius Foyle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, in Fairfield on Friday, May 20, at 10 a.m.
Entombment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum in Bridgeport.
