Cubelli was born June 27, 1923, in Bridgeport, son of Michael and Francesca Cubelli, he had been a resident of Fairfield most of his life. He graduated from Central High School and then served in the United States Army during World War II, fighting in the battle of Normandy. Upon his return, he attended Bryant College in Providence, R.I., and then began a career in construction with D'Addario Industries. He later started his own company Morrison and Cubelli Construction.
Cubelli is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Sandra; brothers, Nicholas, John, Albert, Louis, and George; sisters, Margaret, Lillian; and twin sister, Rose.
Calling hours are Saturday, Jan. 4, between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A prayer service will be conducted at the conclusion of the visitation. In accordance with his wishes, all other services will be private.
