FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Martha (Lanese) Cody, of Fairfield and Stuart, Fla., died Wednesday, May 6. She was 66.
Cody was born April 21, 1949 to Thomas and Jeanette (Anthony) Lanese of Fairfield. She graduated from Andrew Warde High School and Harcum College.
Cody is survived by her parents; her children, Lisa Cody Larkin and husband Scott of Trumbull, Michael Cody and wife Crina of Black Rock, and Christine Lanese Cody of Fairfield; her grandchildren, Julia, Jack and Ryan Larkin and Corinne Cody; her sisters, Margaret Lanese and partner Fern Black of Fairfield, and Katie Gelsomino and husband Rich of Ellington; her brother, Thomas Lanese and wife Debbie of Fairfield; her brothers-in-law, Dr. George Cody and partner Joan Beyda of Easton, Md., and Dr. Paul Cody and wife Cindy Perkins of Pittsfield, N.H.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband; brother Michael Lanese; father- and mother-in-law John F. and Ethel Cody; brother-in-law Jeff Cody; and nephew Kevin Perkins-Cody.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield.
Interment will be private at the family's request.
