Fiore was born in New York City to Lillian and Raymond Danaher. She graduated from St. Vincent's Nursing School. She resided in Fairfield for over 48 years, becoming the head nurse at the Van Doren Nursing Home.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Dr. Joseph V. Fiore; She is survived by her children, Kathleen M. Fiore and her husband, Paul Grassel, of Stonington, Joanne Moser and her husband, Robert, of Kimberton, Pa., and Joseph V. Fiore Jr. and his wife, Melanie, of Ashburn, Va.; and four grandchildren, Katlyn Moser Esposito and Marisa, Christopher and Gregory Fiore.
Visiting hours will be on Friday, April 24, from 6-8 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road, Fairfield Center.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 25, at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield.
Interment will be private.
