Mary Meade, 78, Longtime Fairfield Resident, Worked As Secretary

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Mary Meade of Fairfield died Saturday, Dec. 21. She was 78.

Meade was born June 10, 1935, and raised in the West End of Bridgeport. She resided in Fairfield for 50 years and worked as a secretary.

Meade is survived by her son, Paul Meade of Fairfield; brother, Stephen Svab of New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard; son, Richard Meade; and brothers, Ernest, James and Joseph Svab.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30 at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. All other services will be held privately.
