Michael John Bolick, 92, Of Fairfield, Retired Sikorsky Aircraft Employee

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Michael John Bolick of Fairfield died Tuesday, Feb. 11. He was 92.

Bolick was born July 9, 1921, in Fairfield. He was a lifelong Fairfield Town resident and was a World War II Navy Combat Veteran serving on the USS Bache. He was the owner of Bolick's Auto Repair Shop and later worked for Sikorsky Aircraft as a helicopter mechanic for 15 years until his retirement.

He belonged to the Fairfield Veterans of Foreign Wars, the AMVETS and the Fairfield Elks Lodge.

Bolick is survived by his wife, Irene; children, Donald Bolick (Robin) of Norfolk, Va., Sharon Lizon (Robert) of Douglas, Ga., Michael P. Bolick (Lynn) of Oxford and Pamela Trickey of Newtown; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; brother, John Bolick of Texas; brother-in-law, Frederick Lindsey; sisters-in-law, Cynthia Maske and Ruth Musenga; several nieces, nephews; and great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Paul S. Bolick; and sisters, Mary B. McKinley and Anna Ulbrick.

Calling hours are Friday, Feb. 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home , 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. directly at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, with burial to follow in Lawncroft Cemetery with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
