BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Michael R Hilliard of Bridgeport died Sunday, Feb. 9. He was 48.
Hilliard was born Oct. 30, 1965, in Baltimore, Md., the son of Shirley Hoskie and David Hilliard. He moved to Connecticut with his family in 1966. He worked at Fairchild Wheeler in Fairfield. He was also a computer tech in Darien and a security guard at Lafayette Plaza in Bridgeport. He volunteered at Longfellow Elementary School recreation and OFC basketball team.
Hilliard is survived by his parents, Shirley Hoskie of Bridgeport and David Hilliard of Moorefield, W.Va.; daughters, Alicia, Lakisha, Michella, Leandra, Crystal, Nyasia and Michaela Hilliard of Bridgeport and Ashley Christie of Fla.; sons, Malcolm Hilliard of Bridgeport and William John Hilliard of Lancaster, Calif.; sisters, Crystal Hilliard Johnson of Lancaster and Jamie Hoskie of Stratford; brothers, David and Rodney Hilliard of Petersburg, W Va., Daquan Hilliard of Bridgeport, Pete Hilliard of Alabama, and Trent Hilliard of Hagerstown, Mass.; several grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son, Michael .R. Hilliard Jr.; and brothers, Reginald .T. Hilliard and Randolph Hilliard.
Services will be held at Baker- Isaac Funeral Services 985 Stratford Ave., on Monday, Feb. 17, from 6 to 7 p.m. and services to follow. Interment at Mount Grove Cemetery 2675 North Ave., Bridgeport, on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m.
