Milton Enoch Forstrom, 88, Of Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Milton Enoch Forstrom. of Fairfield, died at The Carolton in Fairfield on Monday, July 6. He was 88.

Forstrom was born in Bridgeport on March 2, 1927, to Enok and Rosa Soderberg Forstrom.

He attended Maplewood School and Bassick High School, playing basketball and football before leaving Bassick in January 1945 to join the Navy during World War II.

After his military service, he became an apprentice carpenter, working for the Mutual Construction Company, James Dywer Construction Company, the Bauchner Construction, the Sam Grasso Construction Company of Darien, and retiring as a member of the Tomlinson, Hawley, Patterson Company.

Forstrom is survived by his wife, Jean; daughter Susan Jean Michaud and her husband, Michael of Goshen, son Stuart and his partner, Nancy Franzago of Shanghai; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.

He was predeceased by two sons, Gary and Milton II.

Visiting hours will be on Friday, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, at 39 S. Benson Road in Fairfield, with a funeral service to follow.

Interment with military honors will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport.
