Nancy Dolan, Former Fairfield And Stamford Resident, 81

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Nancy L. Dolan, formerly of Fairfield and Stamford, died at home surrounded by her family on Monday, Feb. 2. She was 81.

She was born and raised in Tennessee to the late Roy and Lela (Ayers) Lucas. Nancy Dolan was the wife of the late John T. Dolan, Jr.

Nancy was a longtime resident of Chattanooga prior to relocating due to her husband's career. She was a devoted mother and homemaker and always enjoyed attending her kids' sporting events. She was a true animal lover and in her spare time, she loved watching old movies and traveled as much as she could with her husband and close friends.

Nancy is survived by her four sons and their spouses, Tom and Patty of Stamford, James Edward and Doreen of Hope Valley, R.I., Tim and Eileen of Stamford and Pat and Amy of Oxford; her five daughters and their spouses, Carol and Jim Ashbrook of Monroe, Sarah and Jerry Zilske of Alpharetta, Ga., Nancy and Bruce Beobide of Yorktown, Martha and Anthony Centopanti of Fairfield and Suzanne and Stanley Slosek of Gloversville.

She also is survived by her brother, Frank Lucas and his wife, Gloria of Dandridge, Tenn.; her sister, Mona Adams Miller and her husband, Charles of Olive Branch, Miss.; her 26 grandchildren; five great grandsons as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends may greet her family from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6 at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road in Fairfield Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7 at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive in Fairfield. Interment will be private.
