Paul W. Vadas, Of Fairfield, 48

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Paul W. Vadas, a Fairfield resident, died after a long illness on Thursday. He was 48.

He was born in Bridgeport to George and Mary Naughton Vadas, and graduated from Andrew Warde High School, in 1984 and attended Central Connecticut State University. He was an installer with Marquee Pool and Service.

Vadas enjoyed sports and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan. He loved fishing, listening to music, attending concerts and reading. He had the ability to get along with everyone; was funny with an infectious laugh and enjoyed friendly bantering. Growing up, he enjoyed family vacations and later on in life, doted on and cared for his father.

He is survived by his mother; three brothers, Robert Vadas of Southport, James Vadas and his wife, Allison and Peter Vadas and his companion, Evelyne, both of Fairfield; and nieces and nephews, Olivia, Kaia and William.

There will be a memorial service on Friday,at 2 p.m. at the Southport Congregational Church. Burial is private.

Visitation is Thursday, from 5-7 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road in Fairfield Center.
