FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Pauline Szyngera Bodnar of Fairfield died Oct. 13 at the Carolton Convalescent Hospital in Fairfield. She was 80.
Born in Westport, Bodnar was a Fairfield resident most of her life. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Lennon Moulded Shoe Co. before retiring. She was married to James T. Bodnar Sr., who survives her.
Bodnar is also survived by two sons, James T. (Karen) Bodnar Jr., of Trumbull, and Michael J. Bodnar, of Fairfield; and two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Larson Funeral Home in Bridgeport. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Her nephew, the Rev. Raymond Scherba, will officiate. Burial will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
