FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Richard J. Barone of Fairfield died suddenly Sept. 1. He was 60.
Born June 20, 1952, in Astoria, N.Y., he was the son of Rose and Carmine Barone. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1974 and made a lifelong career in sales. He was an active member of First Church Congregational, a girls softball coach for the Fairfield Little League, an avid golfer and a die-hard New York Yankees fan.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; two daughters, Marisa and Richelle; and a sister, Sue Barone.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Spear-Miller Funeral Home in Fairfield. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Church Congregational in Fairfield. Burial will be private.
