FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Rita Purcell Potter of Fairfield died Wednesday, Sept. 17. She was 91.
Potter was born in Metheum, Mass., and was an area resident most of her life.
Potter is survived by her son, Edward Purcell of Fairfield; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Potter; and daughter, Marlene Paige.
There will be no calling hours and all other services will be private.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date at St. Monica's Church in Metheum, Mass.
Donation in memory of Potter may be made to the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield, CT 06825.
