Roger Houle, 68, Retired Fairfield Police Officer

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Roger E. Houle, a former Fairfield resident and police officer, died Sept. 6 in Venice, Fla. He was 68. 

Houle was born Aug. 20, 1944, in Hartford. He later moved to Fairfield, where he attended Tomlison Junior High School and graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School in 1962. 

He served in the Air Force from 1965 to 1969 before joining the Fairfield Police Department. Houle retired from the department in 1995 and moved to southwest Florida, becoming a resident of Venice in 1998. 

Houle is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lenora Houle; two stepdaughters, Lori (Kenneth) Gosselin, of Glastonbury, and Kathleen Epperson, of Fairfield; and three step-great-grandchildren. 

Houle was predeceased his parents, Joseph and Helen Krosky Houle; and a brother, Frederick Houle.

A private family service will be held in Connecticut at a later date. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling arrangements.
