BRADENTON, Fla. — Ronald Bruce Burke, Jr., of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Fairfield, died March 6. He was 83.
Burke was born in Stamford on Dec. 4, 1929, son of Ronald Bruce and Mae Denny Burke, Sr. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War and worked as a salesman in the printing industry for many years until his retirement. He was a 32nd-degree mason, member of The Scottish Rite, a 40 year member of the Fidelity-St. John's Lodge #3 and served as a past district deputy with the Masonic Grand Lodge of Conn. He was a communicant of the Anglican Cathedral Church of the Resurrection, Ansonia.
Burke is survived by his children, Craig (Jacqueline) Burke of Pa. and Joy (Marc) Rosenberg of Ga.; four grandchildren; brother, Richard Burke of Norwalk and sister, Dorothy Roberts of Brookfield.
Funeral services will take place Monday, March 11 at 9 a.m. from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home , 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the Anglican Cathedral Church of the Resurrection, 6 Church St., Ansonia. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
