FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Rose Lecza Stiber of Fairfield died Tuesday, Aug. 20. She was 95.
Stiber was born Aug. 22, 1918, and raised in New Haven, daughter of Frank and Rose Sandor Lecza, she was a graduate of Commercial High School and had worked for Spencer Inc. of New Haven. She was a member of the American Hungarian Heritage Association, St. Emery's Church, the Church Ladies Guild and Seniors Group.
Stiber is survived by her daughters, Rosemary McCallum of Bethel and Joanne Wcislo (Ronald) of Ansonia; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Anne Thomson and Barbara Lecza; brothers, Joseph Lecza, Ronald Lecza and Roger Lecza; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Joseph Stiber; sisters, Irene and Helen; and a brother, Frank.
Calling hours are Thursday, Aug. 22 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services, in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 22 at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home and at 12 p.m. in St. Emery's Church, 838 Kings Hwy, Fairfield. Interment will be private.
