CHELMSFORD, Mass. - Shirley Maguire, formerly a resident of Fairfield, currently of Chelmsford, died Aug. 17. She was 82.
Maguire was born March 15, 1931, in Milford, daughter of Thomas and Catherine Perrygrove Maguire. Upon receiving her diploma from Milford High School, she went on to be the accounting clerk at Warnaco for over 45 years. During the 50 years she lived in Fairfield, she was active in the Warner's 20 year Club, the St. Thomas Aquinas Ladies Guild, the Sgt. Thomas J. Nelson, Jr. Post 9427 Auxiliary, and the Catholic Council of Women.
Maguire is survived by her sister, Catherine Dobi of Billerica, Mass.; sister-in-law, Patricia Maguire of Sunnyvale, Calif.; nephews and nieces; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, John, Thomas and James Maguire; and nephew, "Jackie" Maguire.
Calling hours are from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Aug. 22 at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford CT, 06460. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at St. Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Ave., Milford. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Buckingham Ave., Milford.
