FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Stephen John Dzurka Jr., of Fairfield, died at his home Monday, April 20. He was 72.
Dzurka was born in Bridgeport to Stephen and Irene Kochis Dzurka (nee Gamberdella). He graduated from Andrew Warde High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a groundskeeper for Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course once his service ended.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Albert. He is survived by his nephew, Albert Jr., and his wife, Chloe, their children, Dylon, Soleil, and Meadow; and several friends.
Per Dzurka's wishes, a private interment with military honors will be performed in Mountain Grove Cemetery.
