O’Shea was born in Portmagee, County Kerry, Ireland, he was the son of Daniel and Ellen O'Shea, he came to the United States in 1957. He retired following 31 years of service from United Parcel Service. He was a member of the Gaelic American Club, The Ancient Order of the Hibernians and served as a steward for Teamsters Local 191.
O’Shea is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Timothy Michael O'Shea, Jr. (Terri) of Southington, Colleen O'Shea Coleman (Mark) of Newtown and Tara Plourde (Ryan) of Shrewsbury, Mass.; stepchildren, Carol Collins (Chris) of Trumbull and Brian Murray (Monique) of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; siblings, Kitty Keating of Chicago, Ill., Josie Butler of Westbury, LI, John Joe Shea (Kay) of Seymour, Eileen Boland (Patrick) of Fairfield, Donal O'Shea of Luton, England, Margaret Falvey of Cork, Ireland and Michael O'Shea (Margaret) of Portmagee, Ireland; many nieces, nephews; and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Kitty O'Shea; and sister, Maureen McDonald.
Calling hours are Friday, June 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 14 at 10:30 a.m. meeting directly at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown.
