FAIRFIELD, Conn. – William C. Miro of Fairfield died Feb. 10 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was 58.
Born in Bridgeport, Miro was a lifelong Fairfield resident. He was the owner and operator of Miro Greenhouses in Fairfield and a member of the Connecticut Greenhouse Association.
Miro is survived by his wife, Sherry Gammon Miro; two sons, Shane A. Bennett, and his fiancée, Meghan Revoir, of Portland, Ore., and Spencer D. (Jessica) Bennett, of San Diego; a daughter, Stephanie Bantle, of Bridgeport; a brother, Walter Miro, of Urbandale, Iowa; and three grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Church in Fairfield. Burial will be at Lawncroft Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Larson Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
