Fairfield Letter: Marmion Looks Forward To Serving

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield Daily Voice accepts letters to the editor. Please send letters to fairfield@dailyvoice.com.

To the editor:

I would like to thank members of the Fairfield Democratic Town Committee for their unanimous support of my candidacy as selectman. I have enjoyed my role on the Board of Selectman since my appointment in January 2015 to replace Cristin McCarthy Vahey (elected in November 2014 as a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 133).

I am excited about the prospect of continuing to serve, and I look forward to campaigning with First Selectman Michael Tetreau and other members of the Democratic ticket. Since my appointment I have worked hard to leverage my experience as a member of the Representative Town Meeting to ensure an environment of informed dialogue and thoughtful decision making.

Moving forward, I will continue to engage members of the Fairfield community in an ongoing discussion of how we can maintain and build upon our excellent town services while delivering transparent governance and fiscal responsibility.

Thank you again, and I look forward to the opportunity of continuing to serve the people of Fairfield.
