To The Editor:
Republican members of the RTM have worked hard over the past four years to address the rate of spending and turn the tide on rising benefit costs and have emerged as an engaged and relevant voice of the electorate. We have held our town officials accountable for their taxation and policy making decisions.
Whether these practices and policies relate to questionable and irregular dealings on the third train station or proposing a 6.4 percent tax increase; republicans have done their level best to question, debate and speak in the best interest of their constituents.
We are acutely cognizant to the sustainability of incremental spending, the long term impact of our borrowing and negotiated labor agreements. These three factors are sure to be in the forefront of any republican initiated debate.
As a community we have begun to address the long term financial outlook of our community and with your support this Tuesday we will continue to do so. There is still more work to be done and the republican slate of candidates before you this Tuesday is up to the task. This Tuesday please support Republican candidates to the RTM.
