The 82-year-old woman struck a dozen parked cars at a high rate of speed at about 8:10 a.m. at the Fountain Terrace apartment complex on Strawberry Hill Avenue, the Advocate said.

She was sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, but a 50-year-old was critically injured when he became trapped under one of the cars, police told the Advocate.

The woman, who was driving a Honda CR-V, may have suffered a medical emergency as she backed out of a parking place then struck the other cars at a high rate of speed, the Advocate said.

A car was on top of the leg of the man, who was flown to Westchester County Medical Center in critical condition, the Advocate said.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the police department's accident investigators at 203-977-4712.
