FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The American Automobile Association recently honored the Fairfield Police Department with a Gold Award for the department’s outstanding traffic safety initiatives.

These programs include mock crash investigations, a DUI impact panel and "Living Streets", which educates the public how pedestrians, bicyclists and other vehicles must share the road.
