Armed Robbery Reported At Fairfield Gas Station

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A man armed with a knife held up a gas station on Jennings Road on Tuesday night, and police believe they tracked him to a nearby home.

Wearing a black scarf over his mouth, the man entered Star Fuels on Jennings Road at about 9 p.m. The suspect showed a knife in his waistband to the female clerk and demanded cash.

After getting the money, he fled through the parking lot and onto Jennings Road, according to the police report. The employee was not hurt. She described the suspect as a black male, about 6 feet tall, wearing a hooded black sweatshirt and gray sweatpants, according to police.

Officer Kevin Wells and K-9 officer Ruger followed a track from the gas station to a nearby home. Police applied for a search warrant and were attempting to recover evidence from the house and identify the suspect.
