Bike Thefts Reported At Fairfield Train Stations

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Fairfield Police reported three bikes stolen from the two town train stations, despite the owners claiming all were locked in place.

A cyclist reported a Trek bike valued at $500 to $600 stolen from the Fairfield Metro station sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Aug. 19.

A green Critical Cycle valued at $170 vanished from the downtown Fairfield station between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m the same day.

A $1,000 black Giant bike was stolen from the Metro station sometime between 10 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 20, police said.
