Offices stopped Giovanni Javier, of Maplewood Avenue, at about 9:30 p.m. because he had no front registration plate on his 1990 Honda, police said. He was charged with operating under the influence, possession of alcohol by a minor and weapons in a motor vehicle when Janvier failed field sobriety tests and an officer found a Umarex BB gun in the back seat and a wooden rifle BB gun in the trunk, police said.

Police said Javier had two spilled cans of ice beer on the front passenger side floor.

No passengers in the car were charged.

Janvier is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 30.
