At about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, police officers responded to the Sunnyside Inn at 174 Lake St., Bridgeport, on a complaint, police said.
When officers arrived at the hotel, a 17-year-old Bridgeport girl said that Brandon Williams, 34, was holding her against her will and forcing her to engage in sex trafficking, said Kevin Coughlin, city of Bridgeport's public safety spokesman.
Williams, of 21 Cliff St. in Waterbury, was arrested and on a charge of violation of probation pending further charges, Coughlin said. Williams was held Wednesday on $50,000 bond.
The 17-year-old girl was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where she was in stable condition Wednesday afternoon. She is recovering in the custody of the Connecticut Department of Children and Families, Coughlin said.
