Officers were dispatched to Newport Avenue and Milford Avenue in Stratford on Sunday on a report of a dispute, according to the Connecticut Post. They found a woman sitting in a car with a broken window, and learned that she had been in a dispute with her boyfriend, 27-old Steven Figueroa, the Connecticut Post reported.

She told police that they had gotten into an argument after she left her bag in his car, and that when she met up with him, he punched her car window and broke it, according to the Connecticut Post. Figueroa told officers that he was holding onto the top of the window when she drove a way, which caused him to accidentally break it, according to the Connecticut Post.

Figueroa was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct and arraigned in court on Monday, according to the Connecticut Post. He was ordered to turn over his weapons and not have any contact with the victim, the Connecticut Post reported.
