The Fairfield Police Department issued the warrant in September 2013 for Nicole Thompson, of Noble Avenue, who was charged with breach of peace and threatening, police said.
On Sept. 5, 2013, Fairfield police responded to a call at Thompson's home, where her roommate asked police to remove Thompson from the home where he said they had engaged in an altercation four days earlier, police said.
Although officers documented the incident as a civil matter, police said they were called back to the home on Sept. 8. On that day, the roommate said Thompson had punched him in the face multiple times and threatened him with a knife, police said.
Thompson refuted both claims, saying she did not punch but poked him in the face and saying she had not threatened to kill him with a knife, police said.
During the investigation, Thompson’s son said his mother did have a knife in her possession and was making a stabbing gesture to the roommate, police said. But he said he took the knife away from Thompson and said she did not threaten her roommate, police said.
On Sept. 26, the Fairfield Police Department notified Thompson that there was an active warrant for her arrest, but she refused to turn herself in, police said.
Thompson was released on a promise to appear in court on Jan. 22.
