Bullet Hole, Blood Found In Vehicle Belonging To Missing Easton Couple

EASTON, Conn. — As the investigation deepens in the search for a missing Easton couple, police have found a bullet hole and blood in one of their vehicles, a source told the Connecticut Post

Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin have not been seen since Aug. 4. Their abandoned pickup truck was found with a broken window Aug. 9 in a commuter parking lot off Exit 42 of the Merritt Parkway in Westport.

Police also found a Mitsubishi work truck and a Mercedes E320 in the driveway of the couple's home, the Post said.

When the blood and bullet hole were found, Easton Police requested that the State Police Western District Major Crime Squad take over the investigation, the Post reported.

State Police investigators have obtained about a dozen search warrants for the son’s Bridgeport home as well as landfills and fields, the Post said.

Jeffrey Navin, 56, is the president of J & J Refuse in Westport. Jeanette Navin, 55, is a library paraprofessional at Weston Intermediate School.
