FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A car fire in a Fairfield driveway Tuesday morning was doused by firefighters before it could spread to the garage and house.

Emergency crews were called to a Church Hill Road home just before 8 a.m. to find the front engine compartment and part of the passenger area of the car engulfed in flames.

They managed to put out the fire before it spread, and no injuries were reported.
