Car Crash In Weston Takes Out Utility Pole

WESTON, Conn. — A car went off the road early Sunday near the center of town and broke a utility pole in half, according to the Weston Volunteer Fire Department. The Weston Volunteer Fire Department and the Weston Volunteer EMS responded to the one-car accident early Sunday morning in the area of 230 Weston Road, according to a Facebook post.

The fire units found the damaged vehicle off the road near the broken power pole, the post said. 

The driver refused medical transport, firefighters said.

Weston Road was closed for several hours while Eversource repaired the broken pole, the Facebook post said. 

E-3, C-1, 552 and Medic 500 responded to the overnight crash.
