The incident occurred at about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 24. Police said the mother returned to her Oak Crest home and her daughter said she stubbed her toe and wanted her mother to fix it.

The daughter wanted her mother to file down, cut and paint her broken toenail, police said. The mother said no, but the daughter persisted until her mother agreed, police said.

After her mother filed down the nail, the daughter didn't think her mother did a good enough job, police said. She demanded that her mother cut the nail, and later told her mother to remove the nail polish and repaint it, according to police reports. The mother said no, and the daughter started to yell, according to police.

The mother stepped outside and the daughter locked to door behind her, police said. She let her mother back inside after about 10 minutes and asked her again to paint her nail, police said. The mother agreed and began lecturing her daughter about her behavior, police said.

The daughter then hit her mother in the head with both hands, according to police. The mother tried to walk away, and the daughter hit her in the back, police said. The mother tried to go to her bedroom, but the daughter blocked her way, police said. The mother then called police.

When officers arrived, the mother showed them a chunk of hair that had been removed when the daughter hit her in the head, police said. The daughter told police that she didn't want to deal with her nail herself, because she had just painted her fingernails, police said. She also told police that her mother had yelled at her and pushed her, police said.

Police issued the daughter a misdemeanor summons for disorderly conduct. She was released on a promise to appear in court on June 25.
