Diamond Bracelet Stolen From Fairfield Charity Auction

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A $3,400 bracelet was reported stolen from a charity auction at Fairfield’s Brooklawn Country Club Saturday night, according to police reports.

The bracelet was an item up for bid at a silent auction as part of a Habitat for Humanity fundraiser, police say. A volunteer working at the benefit noticed the item missing from a back room containing the prizes, according to police reports. The piece was described as an 18-carat gold bangle-style bracelet with diamonds.

Staff members were interviewed but did not report seeing anything to police, according to the report. The incident is still under investigation.
