The officer stopped Leighton Jordan of 910 Westport Road, at 8:19 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, police said.

Jordan was instructed to get out of his vehicle, he complied and was then arrested, police said.

He was charged with a court-issued warrant with illegal obtaining or supplying prescription legend drug, possession of narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jordan was released on a promise to appear in court on Aug. 3.

The warrant was issued in connection with an incident on May 24, police said.

A jacket belonging to Jordan was discovered with multiple folds of suspected heroin, and other drug paraphernalia, including a prescription pill container not belonging to him, police said. Jordon stole the prescription pill container from a neighbor, police said.
