FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Kohl’s employee was arrested Friday after she tried to scam the Tunxis Hill Road store out of about $1,367 by making fake returns, Fairfield police said.
Store management called police Friday to report they had an employee in custody for thefts that had occurred over the past few months, police said.
They accused Merari Rosario, 41, of Oakview Circle, Bridgeport, of returning items that had already been returned, accruing $1,047.93 in store credit, police said. Store management said she also stole another $320 in store merchandise, police said.
Rosario was charged with fourth-degree larceny. She was released on a promise to appear in court on March 10, police said.
