FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A teen driver was taken to the hospital Friday evening after he hit a tree and rolled into Sasco Creek, police said.
The 17-year-old Fairfield resident told officers he was traveling westbound on Cross Highway around 7 p.m., when he swerved to avoid a deer in the road and his car rolled, hit the tree and went into the creek.
He was transported to St. Vincent’s Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
He received a verbal warning for failure to drive right.
