Fairfield Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint; Police Seek Help ID'ing Suspect

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Police are searching for a man who robbed a Fairfield gas station at gunpoint late Tuesday night, police said.

The suspect was described as a 6-foot-2 black male weighing 250 to 270 pounds.

At 11:07 p.m., a man entered the Mobil Gas station at 2093 Post Road and displayed a large dark-colored revolver, police said.

He robbed the cashier of an undetermined amount of cash from the register and fled, police said.  

The suspect, who headed for a side parking lot area, was described as follows:

  • Black male
  • About 6-foot-2 and weighing 250 to 270 pounds
  • Black ski mask exposing only his eyes and mouth
  • Wearing blue pants with gray Adidas pants or shorts beneath
  • No gloves 
  • Carried a large black revolver with brown-handle in his right hand
