Fairfield Man Busted On Heroin Charges In Westport

WESTPORT, Conn. -- After Westport officers making a motor vehicle stop spotted two hypodermic needles in the car, they called in the police K-9, Koda to investigate further, police said.

Police service dog Koda was deployed at the stop Friday evening and located 10 folds of heroin in the vehicle, police said. 

The driver, Donald Vinci, 30, of Fairfield was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Vinci posted $500 bond and was issued a court date of June 22 at Superior Court in Norwalk.
