FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A Fairfield man was charged with punching and threatening a 14-year-old boy Wednesday afternoon, police say.
Major Ward, 43, of Biro Street confronted the teen on Halley Avenue and reportedly punched him in the head and warned he would attack him again if he saw him, Wednesday afternoon, according to the police report.
Ward is not related to the victim, but did know the boy, police say. Police believe he was the guardian of one of the boy’s friends, according to police reports.
Ward was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree threatening, breach of the peace and risk of injury to a minor, all misdemeanors. Bond was set at $10,000, and Ward is due in court Feb. 19.
