FAIRFIELD, Conn. A Fairfield man faces assault and other charges Monday after he was accused of biting his girlfriends arm, police said.
The victim called police Monday evening to report that Damon Johnson, 32, of Kings Highway East, had taken her car without permission. When she tried to stop him, Johnson allegedly grabbed and bit her forearm, according to the police report. He then got in the car and began driving south on Interstate 95.
The woman also told police that the car was unregistered and uninsured. Police found the womans car on the highway near Exit 20. Johnson was stopped and taken back to the scene of the incident for questioning.
Johnson was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful restraint, breach of the peace and using a motor vehicle without the owners permission. He was held on $25,000 bond and is due in court Tuesday.
