FAIRFIELD, Conn. ? A Fairfield man was charged with assault after reportedly breaking his wifes wrist during an argument, police said.
Staff at St. Vincents Hospital called police Wednesday night to report a woman at the hospital said her husband had pushed her against a wall during an argument, causing an injury to her wrist, police said. The womans adult daughter corroborated the story, according to police reports. The victim told police she was unsure what led to the attack.
The husband, John Foristall, 47, of Tahmore Drive, was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault, both misdemeanors. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond, and was due in court Thursday morning.
