Fairfield Man Charged With Hitting Wife And 7-Year-Old Son

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A Fairfield man was charged with striking his 7-year-old son and wife over the weekend, police say.

Police were called to the home of David Dubinsky, 53, of Melody Lane Saturday morning after receving reports of domestic dispute. Dubinsky allegedly struck his son with a belt, causing welts on the boy’s buttocks, police say. He also pushed his wife onto their bed when she tried to stop him, according to police reports.

Dubinsky was charged with third-degree assault and risk of injury to a minor, both felonies, and three counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct. He was held in lieu of a $25,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court Monday morning.
